You will find this excellent taverna nestled between the Northway Road and the Leeds-Liverpool canal. The atmosphere is lively and positive; the service friendly and efficient; and the food tasty and plentiful. The Taverna offers a good choice of traditional Greek cuisine at fair prices. The portions are large with the main dishes all coming with vegetables, salads, rice and chunky chips. At my recent visit I shared a special mixed kebab for 2, but there was easily enough on the plate for a 3rd person! It was delicious and went down well with a cold Mythos beer! There is a wide choice of places to eat in Maghull, but the Greek Taverna is always busy. Given its popularity I would suggest ringing ahead to book a table.

10 of us visited on a busy Friday night, although very busy service was excellent. Food was fantastic, could not fault a thing, all correct, hot and delicious. If anything there was too much food (chips) each meal comes with a separate tray of chunky chips. The kids had room for desserts and they got polished off too 👍 x lovely, busy, friendly and great value. Would definitely go back. No need for Gordon Ramsey here 👍

I love visiting Greek Taverna in maghul the food is absolutely outstanding every time. The entrance has no steps and is flat although I think the narrow door maybe a wheelchair issue unless they open both doors, parking gets very busy but you can park round the back through the petrol station. We are always greated by the friendly staff and hardly ever have a long wait as we book due to this being an extremely busy restaurant. Food is always prompt and hot when it arrives to the table and so delicious. Prices are pretty reasonable. Highly recommended
